Placement Options
Citation: Ann. Code § 9-28-415(c); 9-28-1003(e)
A foster home shall not provide care for more than six children in foster care unless providing care for additional children will allow a parenting youth in foster care to remain with his or her child.
A minor who is the custodial parent of one or more children and who is placed in foster care shall be placed in the same placement as the child unless the court has adjudicated the child or children of the minor parent to be dependent-neglected and the court finds that it is not in the best interests of the child or children to be placed in the same placement as the minor parent.
