Rights of LGBTQIA2S+ Youth in Foster Care
Citation: Rev. Stat. § 620.363
A child in foster care shall have the right to the following:
- To be free from physical, sexual, or emotional injury or exploitation
- To develop physically, mentally, and emotionally to their potential
- To have a safe, secure, and stable family
- To express opinions on issues concerning their placement, care, or treatment
- To request placement be made where they feel the safest and most accepted
