Youth At-Risk of Homelessness Multi-Phase Grant Program

Date: October 2021

This graphic describes the three phases of the Youth At-Risk of Homelessness multiphase grant initiative and shows three arrows pointing to the right. Each arrow presents information about a different phase.

The grant initiative aims to build the evidence base on what works to prevent homelessness among youth and young adults who have been involved in the child welfare system.

•    Phase 1 activities included identifying the target population, describing its needs, and developing a comprehensive service model.

•    Phase 2 consisted of six Phase I grantees receiving grants to implement and conduct initial testing of the comprehensive service model developed in Phase 1.

•    Phase 3 evaluations were conducted to determine the effectiveness of the comprehensive service models designed piloted in the earlier phases.
