Youths' Religious Rights
Citation: Admin. Code tit. 922, § 1:300(6)
Except for a religious practice that is destructive towards property or places a child or others in physical danger, an opportunity shall be provided for a child to do the following:
• Practice the religious belief and faith of their personal or family preference
• Participate in a religious activity without coercion
Agency Responsibilities

An entity providing out-of-home care shall demonstrate consideration for and sensitivity to the following:
• The racial, cultural, ethnic, and religious background of a child in care
• Availability of activities appropriate to the child's cultural or ethnic origin
Addressing Grievances
Citation: Admin. Code tit. 922, § 1:300(7)
Before admission, the child shall be informed in writing of their rights and the child-caring facility's responsibilities, including policy pertaining to services offered to the child. A child shall be informed upon admission of the right to file a grievance.
