Immunity for Making Reports

A person who submits a report as required or authorized under this section is immune from any civil or criminal liability by reason of that action.

Any person making a complaint that a child has been abused, abandoned, or neglected shall be immune from any civil or criminal liability by reason of that action.

Additional Provisions of Immunity

A person who furnishes information or records required or authorized under this section, or a person who participates in a judicial or administrative proceeding or investigation resulting from a report, information, or records is immune from any civil or criminal liability by reason of that action.

Any person providing information or otherwise participating in the program authorized by this article shall be immune from any civil or criminal liability by reason of such action.

A person who submits a report is granted immunity unless the person acted with malice or has been charged with or is suspected of abusing or neglecting the child or children in question.

A person making a complaint is granted immunity unless such person acted with malice or has been charged with or is suspected of abusing, abandoning, or neglecting the child or children in question.
