This tip sheet for children and youth ages 10 and older offers an overview of what child abuse and neglect are and what a young person can do if they think someone is not safe. It includes information to help children and youth recognize signs of possible child maltreatment, report or talk about their concerns with trusted adults or agencies, and support peers who may be victims.
