Because families at risk of child abuse or neglect often face challenges in other areas of their lives, effective collaboration across service providers and systems is essential to supporting families' many unique needs. At the state level, collaboration that includes prevention-focused organizations can help ensure prevention is considered when funding programs and developing policy as well as support communication and information sharing.
