Youths' Religious Rights

The religious faith of children coming under the jurisdiction of public welfare officials shall be preserved and protected.

When committing juveniles under the Nebraska Juvenile Code, the court shall place them as far as practicable in the care and custody of some individual holding the same religious belief as the juvenile's parents or with some association that is controlled by persons of like religious faith of the juvenile's parents.
In regulation: Every foster parent, whether in a licensed home or approved home, will permit each child placed in their care to practice and further the child's own religious beliefs and cultural practices.
