Contents of Report About the Adopted Person
The report shall contain the following:
- The social background record of the adopted child
- A recommendation on whether the adoption is in the child's best interests
- Comments on the reasons that justify the divesting of parental rights of the birth parents
Contents of Report About the Birth Family
Citation: Ann. Laws Tit. 8, § 1082b
A birth mother who agrees to execute an adoption agreement shall be required to provide the Department of the Family with information regarding her personal and family medical history as well as any medical, psychological, or psychiatric evaluations available at the time of the adoption. Such information shall be confidential in nature and shall be used for the purpose of evaluating the birth mother's willingness during this process and as a possible source of information on the health of the adoptee.
