In policy: A youth in foster care has the right to the following:
- The freedom to identify and dress based on their individual identity and beliefs
- Freedom from harassment or abuse based on the actual or perceived sexual orientation and the ability to be open about their sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression and to be identified by their chosen name and pronouns
- The ability to wear clothing consistent with their gender identity
