Child Welfare Workload Compendium

The Child Welfare Workload Compendium is an online searchable database of State and local child welfare workload initiatives. The Workload Compendium aims to provide public child welfare managers, administrators, and policymakers with information and tools for improving workload management, including studies, standards, legislation and policies, and other related resources. The database can be searched by State, category, date, and keyword. More about the Workload Compendium…

The Child Welfare Workload Compendium database is a "work in progress." Because workload information can be difficult to obtain and changes frequently, the Workload Compendium does not contain all the workload-related information for every State or locality. In addition, information and data contained in the Workload Compendium do not address the many differences in jurisdictional definitions, information gathering, methodology, and reporting. Rather, the Workload Compendium is a collection of related, but dissimilar information. Therefore, comparisons should not be made between States or localities based on the information in the Workload Compendium. More about information in the Workload Compendium…

Workload studies conducted at a national level can be found on the Information Gateway website at: National Workload/Caseload Studies and Reports.

Child Welfare Information Gateway encourages States and localities to submit information on their workload initiatives for inclusion in the compendium to share with their peers across the country. Send information to workload@childwelfare.gov.
