National Alliance on Mental Illness
A grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of persons living with serious mental illness and their families.

National Institute of Mental Health
The National Institute of Mental Health aims to reduce the burden of mental illness and behavioral disorders through research on mind, brain, and behavior.

National Mental Health Information Center
Provides mental health information via a toll-free telephone number, the Internet, and more than 600 publications.

National Center for Education in Maternal and Child Health (2002)
Promotes family and community awareness among health professionals working with children and youth experiencing mental health issues. Suggestions for identifying and intervening in psychosocial problems are provided.
