Findings From the Initial 2001 - 2004 Child and Family Services Reviews (MS PPT - KB) General Findings From the Federal Child and Family Services Reviews The Child Welfare Monitoring Documents Library Statewide Assessments—Prior to its onsite review, each State assesses its child welfare data in light of the outcomes for children and families subject to review. In addition, the assessment must address the systemic issues under review relative to the State's capacity to deliver effective services. Child and Family Services Review (CFSR)—The Child and Family Services Review assesses State performance during a specified time period with respect to seven child welfare outcomes in the areas of safety, permanency, and well-being and with respect to seven systemic factors. State-By-State Key Findings From the CFSR Report—Key findings from the State Child and Family Services Reviews. Program Improvement Plan (PIP)—States not in conformity with the seven outcomes and seven systemic factors must prepare a Program Improvement Plan (PIP) that includes action steps and benchmarks for bringing the State into conformity. |
