Developed a series of textbooks (many with instructor manuals and parallel foster parent workbooks), covering some aspect of foster care. The North American Council on Adoptable Children (NACAC) is not a direct-service provider. It is a nonprofit, broad-based coalition of volunteer adoptive parent support and citizen advocacy groups, caring individuals, and agencies committed to meeting the needs of waiting children in the United States and Canada. Since 1972, NACAC has sponsored the adoption community's largest annual conference, uniting concerns and resources of over 1,000 experienced adoptive parents, child welfare professionals, and advocates. Other training events and specific technical assistance are also sponsored periodically.
