This pie chart presents child abuse and neglect fatality victims by age in 2006. The chart shows that 44.2 percent of victims were younger than 1 year, 33.8 percent of victims were 1 to 3 years old, 11.9 percent of victims were 4 to 7 years old, 4.8 percent were 8 to 11 years old, and 5.4 percent were 12 to 17 years old.

This bar chart presents child abuse and neglect fatalities by maltreatment type in 2006. The chart shows that 41.1 percent were neglect only, 31.4 percent were multiple maltreatment types, 22.4 percent were physical abuse only, 2.9 percent were psychological abuse, other, or unknown, 1.9 percent were medical neglect, and 0.3 percent were sexual abuse only.
