Private Sources of Prevention Funding
Two significant private sources of funding for child abuse and neglect prevention programs are State Children's Trust and Prevention Funds and private foundations. Use the following resources to learn more about these funding opportunities.
Children's Trust and Prevention Funds
Alliance of Children's Trust and Prevention Funds
Supports community prevention programs through policy formation, funding innovative programs, public awareness, and education. Although practices differ from State to State, many trust funds use a grant application process to distribute funds. Visit the Alliance website for contact information for trust funds in every State as well as in the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
