Private Sources of Prevention Funding
Two significant private sources of funding for child abuse and neglect prevention programs are State Children's Trust and Prevention Funds and private foundations. Use the following resources to learn more about these funding opportunities.
Children's Trust and Prevention Funds
Alliance of Children's Trust and Prevention Funds
Supports community prevention programs through policy formation, funding innovative programs, public awareness, and education. Although practices differ from State to State, many trust funds use a grant application process to distribute funds. Annie E. Casey Foundation
Endeavors to strengthen a community's ability to fulfill the needs of families involved in the child welfare system through its Family to Family program.
David and Lucile Packard Foundation
The foundation's Children, Families, and Communities Program focuses on children's access to high-quality health care, the development of children and youth, the economic security of families, and the reduction of violence in homes.
