Training for Foster, Adoptive, and Kinship Families
Effective training helps resource families better understand the needs of children, youth, and families in the child welfare system and is critical to ensuring that the resource family's expectations meet the reality of the child's needs. Training on how the child welfare system works allows resource families to understand their role within the system and enables them to be more effective advocates for the children in their care. Find preservice and ongoing training resources for foster and relative families, as well as postadoption training for adoptive families.
