When you feel trapped in a bad situation and you don't have much control, it can be hard to change. But Aleetra found people who believed in her, so she started to believe in herself.
Aleetra continues to earn all As as a full-time student in her sophomore year at Lake Sumter Community College. Her goal is to become a dental hygienist. She is completing her AA degree while waiting for her acceptance letter into the dental program.
She is active in the Independent Living Program and recently moved into her own apartment. When she isn't studying, she works part time at Winn-Dixie.
Aleetra doesn't look at her past as a burden. She is looking to her future and all the immense and honorable things she will accomplish.
