World as Community: The Intersection between Migration and Child Welfare
Mini-Plenary V
Due to the complexity and often controversial nature of practice, program, and
policy issues regarding migration and child welfare, virtually all practitioners and
policymakers may benefit from high quality information, guidance, and resources
that will improve child welfare practice and policy and support ongoing networking,
information-sharing, and collaboration. Building on previous roundtables
and national discussion, presenters address practice, program, and policy issues
in an effort to support child welfare professionals in their work with immigrant
children and families, as well as identify emerging issues that impact child and
family well-being and the established systems of protection and care. Participants
gain an opportunity to develop simple and achievable action plans.
