Child Protection: Advocates Speak Out
Since the passage of the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) in 1974, the Federal government has assisted states and communities in improving their efforts to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect. This session will discuss what national advocates see as the most important issues to consider and debate as they look at the past, present, and future of child protection.
