In this session, the panel will review the objectives and plans for the National Study of Child Protective Services Systems and Reform Efforts. They will also present an overview of the themes and objectives of the Community Partnerships for Protecting Children initiative, funded by the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation. Nolan, Notkin, and Yuan will then lead a panel of experts in discussing local initiatives in such areas as increasing the involvement of non-traditional stakeholders in the protection of children, building a network of public and private agencies, improving frontline practice, and rethinking the role of child protective services. |
