George Brown has been a tireless advocate on behalf of preventing child abuse and neglect in the State of Vermont. He chairs, with distinction, the Child Fatality Review Committee. In addition, he helped to start the Partnership for an Abuse-Free State, which focuses particular attention on preventing the sexual abuse of children.
Dr. Brown has championed the involvement of parents and caregivers in developing a community-wide effort to protect all children. He has personally done training for groups around the State, and has worked closely with Stop It Now-Vermont to help break down myths about the people who perpetrate child abuse. Dr. Brown is a widely respected and deeply revered practitioner who has made a huge difference in the lives of children in Vermont.
