Rebecca Ruffner has been a child and family advocate for over 30 years. She works with policy makers, service providers, and advocates at the local, State, and National levels to ensure that all children grow up safe and healthy.
Ms. Ruffner serves as the chair of the Healthy Families Arizona Steering Committee. She established the first multidisciplinary child abuse case consultation team, for which she remains a consultant. She participated in the development of a Child Fatality Review Team program for Arizona and is a member of her local team.
Ms. Ruffner also serves on the committee responsible for updating the Arizona State Plan for Child Abuse Prevention. She is the founder and Executive Director of Prevent Child Abuse, Inc., whose goal is to promote programs and policies which ensure that children grow up free from abuse and neglect. Her tireless work has helped Arizona in its efforts to prevent child abuse and proves that one person's commitment can indeed make a difference.
