Karen Worley is a tireless advocate for children. As a clinician, she works with sexually abused children and their families at Arkansas Children's Hospital. She also serves as a member of the Standards Committee that monitors the Division of Children and Family Services' compliance with the Angela R. lawsuit settlement.

Dr. Worley has volunteered to assist the Division in rewriting the sexual abuse portion of the Child Maltreatment Assessment Protocol, which is used to guide decision making in the acceptance and investigation of child maltreatment reports. Dr. Worley currently serves as a member of a team composed of child welfare professionals and a foster parent that is reviewing reports of child maltreatment screened out by the Child Abuse Hotline. This effort will assist the Division in formulating recommendations for Best Practice in this area.

Dr. Worley is a long-standing member of the Arkansas Commission on Child Abuse, Rape, and Domestic Violence. She is also an active member of the Child Abuse Committee.
